It's time to introduce you to the remarkable Estelle DJANATO, a 31-year-old from Benin who joined the Women Volunteers for Peace (WOVOP) community in June 2022. With a strong academic background in Gender Peace and Security, as well as Diplomacy and International Relations, Estelle embarked on an internship journey that was nothing short of exciting and has been with WOVOP for a year now!

In just three words, Estelle describes her experience as "excitement, excitement, excitement!" So, let's dive into her incredible journey and discover what made her time at WOVOP truly exceptional.

What initially piqued Estelle's curiosity was WOVOP's Mental Health Fridays program. This eye-opening initiative made her realize the critical importance of mental health and the urgency of discussing it openly. It was her first experience in such an activity, and it left a profound impact. “It stands out as a vital initiative that addresses the often-overlooked issue of mental health. By fostering open conversations about mental well-being, WOVOP is making a positive impact on the lives of many.”

Estelle stated that her journey, like any other, had its share of challenges. One of her low moments was the frustration of being unable to proceed with her research activities, a role she was passionate about. This hurdle made it difficult for her to fully enjoy her assigned role.

Despite the challenges, there were countless fun moments along the way. Estelle said she thoroughly enjoyed the vibrant and lively environment at WOVOP. The team's commitment to their community was palpable, and she felt right at home among these dedicated individuals.

Estelle aptly described WOVOP's work as "incredible" and "vivified," all within a fun and enjoyable environment. “This organization's dedication to peace and community development shines through in every project and initiative.”

Estelle's experience with the WOVOP team was nothing short of great. She explained she felt genuinely welcome and appreciated their unwavering commitment to their community. This warm and welcoming atmosphere made her feel like an integral part of the team.

Estelle suggested that WOVOP consider building a research team, comprising two to three volunteers, as part of its field of activity. She firmly believes that developing a dedicated research body within WOVOP would be a valuable advantage for the organization, allowing for even greater insights and impact.

In conclusion, Estelle enthusiastically recommended young people to join the WOVOP community. Her journey at WOVOP has been a remarkable experience, filled with learning, growth, and the joy of making a difference, she expressed. “Joining WOVOP means becoming part of a vibrant community that is committed to fostering peace and empowerment.”
